Roncier (Pinot Noir)

Name: Roncier
Variety: Pinot Noir
Region: Burgundy
Country: France
Year: N/A
Price: $9.95

Winery review: With a fruity nose, it has good structure with very soft tannins, fruity aromas and a pleasant finish.  Thanks to its ageing potential, this wine can be kept up to 10 years in a good cellar, and it will then develop much more structured and complex aromas which will even enhance its quality.

My review:  Sweaty socks, earthy, and black cherry on the nose.  Very aromatic; funky.  Hints of vanilla on the palate as well as cherry fruit.  Light-bodied and somewhat dry.

I tasted this on its own without food.
